Presented is an antique set of 12 English sterling silver teaspoons or coffee spoons made by Thomas Northcote of London in 1791. The front of each rounded hand is hand engraved with lovely, bright cut engravings surrounding a monogram of the letter Y. The back of each spoon is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter q for the year 1791 and a maker's mark for Thomas Northcote.
This set is in great condition for its age. There is a small dent as well as a slight split to one bowl and a surface solder repair to one other bowl, and another with a minor dent, but there are no other repairs.
