Both the wax drip and the undertray of the chamberstick holder are engraved with a crest of a lion. This piece is in good overall condition.
There is some solder repair/reinforcement to the handle and along the underside of the piece, shown in the 7th photo on the inner rim. These repairs are easily antique themselves. We unfortunately do not have the snuffer, but there is a slot for one.
There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no other repairs. This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter q for 1791, King George III's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for Henry Chawner. The wax drip is also marked with Henry Chawner's mark. This piece measures about 6 3/8 inches from handle to opposite side, and stands about 2 1/4 inches tall. This piece weighs 220 grams or 7.8 regular ounces.Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution. This item is in the category "Antiques\Silver\Non-U.
