1833 Nice English Georgian Sterling Silver Serving Stuffing Platter Spoon 12
Presented is an excellent English Georgian sterling silver serving spoon, sometimes called a platter or stuffing spoon. This spoon dates to 1833 and was made by James Beebe. The spoon is done in a simple, traditional style, with a downward turn to the handle and a pip on the back of the terminal. The front of the handle has a monogram of MH in ornate Gothic script. This piece is in great overall condition.

There is a single tiny ding to the bowl, which is of no consequence in our opinion. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is hallmarked on the back of the handle with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter S for 1833, King George IV's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for James Beebe.

The spoon is about 12 inches long. The spoon weighs 107 grams or 3.8 regular ounces. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution.
