6 Edward Viner Georgian VTG English Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons Orig Box. Viners specialise in Sheffield cutlery, kitchenware and dinnerware items, and was founded in 1901 by Adolphe Viener (also spelled Wiener after he was knighted by the monarchy) and his sons. Were silversmiths who initially worked in traditional small workshops. The company's expansion was largely due to Adolphe's son, Ruben Viner, who was responsible for the firm's overseas subsidiaries opening in Ireland, France and Australia. The hallmark for Viners Ltd.
Silver was registered to son Edward Viner in 1932 it was E. V" with figures and in 1964, it was "EV with associated figures. Each one is hallmarks with E. V indicating these are an earlier ensemble. Afterwards is the crown Mark for Sheffield the lien with the raised pot for sterling silver and the P symbol.
In the lovely black velvet and satin lined box with pushbutton lock closure and exterior gold rimming detail hard case. Does have signs of wear commiserate with age.
