Antique 1700s 18th Century English Georgian Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop Spoon

Presented is a wonderful English Georgian sterling silver marrow scoop spoon. This piece dates to the 1700s. The scoop is double ended, with a regular spoon end and a narrow scoop end for scooping marrow out of bones.

Both the spoon end and the scoop end face the same way. This is a sturdy, well made piece of English silver, and would make an exceptional addition to any silver collection.

This piece is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver and the leopard's head crowned for the city of London. The date letter and the maker's mark unfortunately are too worn to read.

The marrow spoon is about 7 inches long. The marrow spoon weighs 37.5 grams or 1.3 regular ounces. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution. This item is in the category "Antiques\Silver\Non-U. The seller is "robertcharlessilver" and is located in this country: US.
