The back is marked with the crowned leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter q for the year 1791 and a maker's mark for Peter & Ann Bateman. This piece is in good overall condition for especially for its age. There has likely been a monogram removal to the top of the handle.
The bowl of the ladle has a high polish and probably has had a dent or two professionally removed, although I can see no traces of such. There is some minor pitting to the bowl and a minor surface scratch to the handle. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution. This item is in the category "Antiques\Silver\Sterling Silver (.
