Antique 1810 Georgian English Sterling Silver Berry Strainer Pierced Ladle 6 1/4. Presented is an antique, English sterling silver berry strainer or pierced ladle made by Sarah & John William Blake of London in 1810. This Georgian, early 19th century piece is done in classic form and the bowl is beautifully pierced with designs. The front of the handle has an old, script monogram of the letter C.
The back is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter P for the year 1810 and a maker's mark for Sarah and John William Blake. This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use, but there are no damages and no repairs.
