Circa 1850 a pair of matching English silver plated sauce boats which are made in the beautiful Georgian. With a fine applied gadrooned edge and scrolling acanthus leaf handle.

The three shell plaques to the bowl terminating in a hoof / pad foot. Please note that the sauce boats show sign of ware in the form of slight discoloration (brassy in colour) through continued polishing. One sauce boat in particular shows these signs of ware i.

One side of the sauce boat, in the centre, around the top edge and also to the top edge of the shell plaques (please see images). Each sauce boats measure 19cm long, 9cm tall (feet to spout) and 10.5cm tall (feet to top of the handle) and 9.5cm wide.
